BOOTS HEALTH AND BEAUTY MAGAZINE
The Great British Sex Slump
Throughout the pandemic it seems we, the Great British public, have found ourselves lacking in the sexual satisfaction department… So how does one resuscitate a raunchy lifestyle?
Commissioned by Boots Health and Beauty Magazine, Studio PI illustrator Harriet Noble, produced a panoramic paper artwork that was also animated to acompany an article on The Great British Sex Slump.
“With all of my work I like to add a little comedy and humour to it, so including emojis, kids toys and voluptuous peaches hopefully adds to the fun.”
Inspired by stories from three very different working women, Harriet’s playful illustrations make light of a situation that could in actuality be seen as quite depressing.
She said “The brief was to represent different sexual scenarios affecting the nation’s libidos, from new parents, to long distance relationships, to people who are single.
I wanted to have all of the characters in one elongated environment to show that the people experiencing these issues weren’t alone, but decided to use solid objects like stairs, desks and windows to subtly provide some separation. With all of my work I like to add a little comedy and humour to it, so including emojis, kids toys and voluptuous peaches hopefully adds to the fun.”
