Documentary and fashion photographer Jameela Elfaki graduated in 2017. The first issue of her own magazine, AZEEMA, was produced as her final piece for a BA in Fashion Communication and Promotion from Central Saint Martins. As art director and editor of AZEEMA, she explores themes of cultural and personal identity.
Working on location and in the studio, her career so far has included covering the Black Lives Matter protests for GQ and The Skate Kitchen for Elle.
Her commercial photography work spans a range of brands including ASOS, All Saints, Boho Locs and Nike. She has also been featured in the Converse: Spark Progress campaign celebrating women who are changing the face of Britain's creative landscape.
Jameela is a multidisciplinary artist: as well as taking pictures she often casts, styles and stages her work and can combine photography with art and collage.
