Martina Lang

This photographer creates multilayered images with a twist, inviting the viewer to look twice at the scene before them.

Inspired by humour, surrealism, nature and meditation, Martina's staged photographs often use common items such as paper to create sculptural effects, changing the eye’s perspective on what it is observing.

Born in Bavaria, Martina studied photography in Stuttgart before being awarded a scholarship to complete her MA in communication design at Central Saint Martins in London.

Her photographic series, How to Kill Yourself with Chocolate, was a Creative Review winner in 2017 and she was PAMM Curator’s Pick at Pulse Miami Beach in 2018.

She currently lives and works in London with a practice that spans editorial, commercial and fine art projects.
